Regional, seasonal, fresh, a little experimental and always a “Touch of Gambia” – that’s how we would describe our cuisine. The breakfast consists of daily fresh bread from a bakery project, good coffee, African herbal teas, freshly squeezed juices, egg specialties with organic eggs from our own chickens, home-made jams, local yogurt, cereals, Gambian peanut butter, local honey, peanut rice and more culinary delights.
During the day we serve light salads and finger food in the restaurant. Especially refreshing are the local drinks, which we produce ourselves.
Also, the dinner is always freshly prepared: The fish jumps practically directly from the fishermen in Tanji into our pan, vegetables grow in our own garden or we buy it from the women in the gardens around Mama Africa or at the market in Tanji … and the rest in the well-stocked supermarkets. On the menu you will find well-known recipes, surprising and sometimes completely new flavours. In addition, we will always offer traditional Gambian dishes such as Domoda or Yassa. When choosing a menu, we consider special wishes such as vegetarian food, food allergies, etc.
